Find your declarations page.

It’s the one page of your policy that says everything. Here’s where it hides.

What it is

Your declarations page (the “dec page”) is the summary at the front of your policy: who is insured, what is insured, each coverage with its limit and deductible, the policy period, and the premium. It is usually one or two pages. It is also the page that proves your continuous coverage and current limits, which is why a quote built from it is better than one built from memory.

Three ways to get it

  1. Your carrier’s app or website

Sign in, open your policy, and look for “Documents”, “Policy documents” or “ID cards & documents”. The declarations page is usually the first PDF listed.

  2. The email your carrier sent you

Search your inbox for “declarations”, “policy documents” or your policy number. New policies and renewals nearly always arrive as a PDF attachment.

  3. Ask your current agent, or ask Elona

Any agent can email it to you the same day. If you would rather not ask them, tell Elona your carrier and she will tell you exactly where to click.
