Who we are
Who is providing this notice?

SoFlo Palms LLC, doing business as Agent Elona, an independent insurance agency licensed in Florida (license #[FL LICENSE]) and Illinois (license #[IL LICENSE]).

What we do
How does Agent Elona protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal and state law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. Documents you upload — declarations pages, insurance cards, driver's licenses — are transmitted encrypted, stored encrypted, and accessible only to Elona and the staff who need them to serve you. [CONFIRM once the hub's storage and access controls are built.]

How does Agent Elona collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • request a quote or apply for insurance
  • upload a declarations page, insurance card, or driver's license
  • give us your contact information or tell us about a life change
  • pay premiums or make a claim through us

We also collect your personal information from others, such as insurance carriers, comparative raters [e.g., EZLynx], credit bureaus, motor vehicle departments, and other companies.

Why can't I limit all sharing?

Federal and state law gives you the right to limit only:

  • sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

How this website works

The notice above is the one the law requires. This part is about the website itself, in plain English.

What we collect on this site, and why

When you start a quote, we ask for your name, email, phone, ZIP code, and what you want covered. We save that right away so that if you get interrupted, you don't have to start over — and so Elona can reach out if you'd like her to.

When you upload a document — a declarations page, an insurance card, or your driver's license — we read it to fill in your application for you. You see everything we extracted before it goes anywhere, and you can correct any of it. The documents and the information from them are stored securely in our own systems and used only to quote and service your insurance.

When you use the contact or Life's Extras forms, we keep what you send us so Elona can follow up.

What we don't do: no advertising trackers, no selling your information, no sharing it with anyone who isn't involved in getting you insured.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work (for example, to remember where you were in the quote form). [If analytics are added later: name the tool and what it collects.] No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Texts, emails, and automated follow-up

If you give us your phone number or email, Elona — or an automated message on her behalf — may follow up about your quote, remind you about documents we still need, or let you know when your policy is coming up for renewal. Some of these messages are sent automatically.

  • Text messages: by entering your mobile number and [checking the box / tapping "Continue"], you agree to receive texts from Agent Elona about your quote and policy. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. [Confirm exact consent language with counsel; TCPA requires prior express consent for automated texts.]
  • Email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Service emails about a quote you requested or a policy you hold will still be sent.
  • We will never text or email you a request for your Social Security number, license number, or payment details. If you get one, it isn't us.

Where your information goes

To get you a quote, we share your information with the insurance carriers we're appointed with and with the rating platform we use to compare them [EZLynx]. Those companies have their own privacy notices. We don't share your information with anyone else, except as the law requires.

How long we keep it

Quote information that doesn't turn into a policy is kept for [X months] and then deleted. Policy information is kept for as long as you're a customer and for [X years] after, as insurance regulations require.

Your choices

  • Ask us what information we have about you, and ask us to correct it.
  • Ask us to delete quote information that never became a policy.
  • Opt out of marketing texts and emails at any time.

Email [PRIVACY EMAIL] or call [PHONE]. A real person will answer.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we share your information, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to opt out where the law allows.
